No, you're not the only one. See, I started out just like you. I didn't know shit. I knew you could mod your Xbox and play backups. I knew nothing of everything else. I didn't know anything else. I stumbled on to this site searching from Google. Hung out in the forums waiting for my Matrix. (I ordered the day before there release and had to wait a while to get it) I'm in here ever day answering all types of questions. Some of them are questions that have been asked a thousand times, other answered from experience in other things.

But, the point is, anyone can do this. With a little patients and willingness to read.

Yeah but what gets me is that i am not the brightest spark in the world and i was able to backup my games a piece of piss buy using the tuts off xbox-scene, why cant anyone else?

I visit the forum everyday all the posts i seem to see daily is: "how do i backup my games" or "Which modchip shall i get for my box"

The truth is 60% of noobs are lazy and i can see why the admins are getting pissed over newbs who cant be arsed to look on xbox-scene or search

I aint dissing anybody but thats my opinion

hehe i want an award too !!!
1) Never soldered until i got an xbox... practice on old cd-rom drives/ old m/bs and with information from net, i got the job done and been doing that for friends since ! open-xbox, homebrew etc !
2) Probable asked a few questions but technical ones i guess..
