Blissx Loads Fine - Won't Play My Roms (.int)

BlissX loads fine on my Xbox - all screens seem to work except the actual gameplay.  When I push the A button to play a rom (filename.int), the emulator flashes the loading screen for a second and goes right back to the game select screen.  I've googled many different phrases, and I've read all of your FAQs.  I haven't seen anything that directly refers to my issue.  I'm currently running evox.  Any ideas?
