Update Tag Information In Songs

Is there a way for me to update the tags (the comment tag specifically) of songs in my XBMC music library without removing the library and recreating it?

I've updated a bunch of comment tags at the (SMB) source and I would like the new comments to be reflected in XBMC, but I don't want to lose my Top 100, Recently Added, etc.

Context menu -> Update Library.

It rescans all changed paths, which will include all files you have changed the comment field of, assuming that the software updated the appropriate timestamp and/or filesize.

Playcount is preserved, though recently added probably won't be.
