Say, I tried the above stuuf but I got an error with xbtool when I'm trying to open Evoxm7_Ef_bfm.bin !!

Help !

I see alot of ppl are having problems with opening let alone modifying the Evox_M7 bios using xbtool.. From what I can remember I used Morden's instruction in his massive thread.. u can find the direct link below:

I'm at work right now so I can't check my xbtool setup.

last i knew M7 and xbtolldont work they arent compatable,
and M7 has IGR disabled.
and uhm uhm uhm ,, lol i have no clue what elese,, i think its just compatable for 1.4/1.5 boxes.

i use it all the time its my main bios unless i play topspin or RB63   those REQUIRE the 4977 bios.

and a simple flaw in your tutorial dude.

you said you FTP's to your xbox and added the 007 hack..

well first of all on a naked xbox,, ie retail its impossible to ftp to your box. which makes the entire tutorial null and void.

and if someone already can ftp then they already have an exploit or chip and the only reason to use the 007/audio hack is clock loop fix..

also the M7 BFM bios from xbins,, which is where everyone should be getting it,, anywhere else,, well its dumb you not getting the proper bios..it IS a bfm,, if you cant BFM then you got a bogus hacked bios.

the bios's for PBL cant be loaded into xbtool..  read xbtool readme,, it must be a naked bios.. a real unmodified bios.. which is only partially true,, it will open CERTAIN bioses  but M7 does not like to be opened. MOST bioses out there wont open which is friggin stupid.  if its a bios,, xbtool should open it,, isnt there any other tool that will actually open a bios and give you a GUI to work with ?

ftp transfer to the xbox is impossible without a pre exsisting mod ..

so if went and bought an xbox and tried to follow your tutorial i would be stuck ,, because i have downlaoded all the "necessary file"  but then you say FTP them to the xbox,, well there ya go you cant do that unless you have your box already modded.

and you cant put a save file onto a memory card without ftp cant ftp without a mod. cant mod until you ftp or hard drive hot swap.

read what your saying,, i dont think im reading it wrong,, although i have dont that before.

---2. getting ftp access to my xbox. I used 007_With_Evox_Installer_PLUS.rar and just created save game out of that. Not too tricky, no modifications done to the files within the rar. Then loaded this save game using 007

ok you made a save game out of the rar,, fine ok

---3. Xbox was hooked up to a router which has dhcp so it configured itself. Otherwise you'll have to setup the network settings. Fantastic, now had ftp access..

ok ill say it again you can have all the save files you want but how are you going to put them on your xbox unless you ftp them or have a friend with a modded box to put it on a memory card.

it aint about making me happy  its about the newbs who look at your tutorial and cant get it to work cuz the ftp wont work to transfer the save file..

dont leave stuff out when you do a tutorial,, if there are threads to describe how to do a step, then say do this,, but read here how to do it and give a link or something.

theres no need to use xbtool anymore, the m7 bfm in youknowwhere has been updated

Is this hack only specific for xboxs with dashboard 4920, or will this work with the newest out there?  Thanx....
