.06 Or .67 What's The Difference?
« Reply #15 on: January 12, 2005, 08:19:00 AM »

Hmmm I am a little confused. Is the bios different than the dashboard? Sorry I am a noob but I thought I had some grasp of this. Now I think I am in way over my head. I have a smartxx V2 modchip that I just installed via pinheader on a 1.0 box seems to have worked so far. Problem is the original hdd went out prompting to go for the upgrade to the chip and a seagate 400g hdd. but I can't seem to get it working. I think I could handle it with a working original drive but I don't have that to work with and now I am confused cuz I haven't heard anything about this bios issue til now. Any advice on what to do next?

Oh yah is it there a way to download the bios or is it like roms? And ho wdo I get the slayer disk and will it help me?

What you need is X2 4983.67 bios.

it would've been simpler to just say .06 has one big f drive and .67 makes a g drive after 137gig

Hi!
I am from Italy and didn't understood well what is write in first post.
I have an XBox 1.1 with Xecuter2 modchip with an actual 120Gb hdd and want to change it with a 300Gb hdd, but I have some questions about it.

If I use a .67 bios, will I have a F partition of 137Gb and a G partition of the rest or the remaning Gbs???

Will the G partition have the same filesystem that has my actual F partition or will the G partition have a filesystem that might be incompatible with some ftp or streaming softwares??

If I use a .06 bios, will I have a F partition of ALL the remaning Gb of the hdd (more then 137Gb)??

Must I use an X2 bios (X2 4983.06/67)?? Where can i find them????

Thank you very much.

I am not sure which version I have, but regardless, my HD is 250GB and I did only an F partition when setting up my xenium gold, but it only reads about 129GB in evox.  Is there anythinG I need to change to get it to see the rest?  The person that sent me the bios files used it and they have a 300GB and a single F partition (no G) and it works fine.  Should I start over from scratch and re-do the HD upgrade from the xenium upgrade wizard?

it doesnt erase your hdd, but you have to make sure you flash with the same type of bios (.06 or .67)
