December 13th 2003 was the last day work was done on XBMP.

There where updates made to XBMC today.

XBMP is dead, XBMC is alive and prospers.

But you could ofcourse try and use the mplayer.dll and codecs.conf from XBMC. Never tried it myself and you are on your own if you do...
