I modded a friends xbox awhile back with a matrix modchip, and then we upgraded to a x2 lite - well, HIS friend opened the box and in the process ripped off the d0 i had soldered. So - i soldered it back only to find that it wouldn't work, and after fussing around a bit, i decided - lets see if i can unsolder everything, use mechassault and flash the tsop (last resort). I would boot up mechassault, with the gamesave Ive used on many other xboxes, and find that after i load the Run Linux gamesave, it goes to the "xbox needs service screen". What on earth would cause this to happen, when - the xbox used to work modded fine, and all that happened was the d0 came off?
so, when i took out the mods and put int he virgin hard drive, it would boot fine, play games, normal stuff - but, if i tried the gamesave exploit, it would just flash to the error screen? anyone see this problem or know a possible cause/fix? Thanks in advance!
