I have an xbox that I use XBMC with to stream movies from my PC's shared drive. Is there a way to get the movies covers and backgrounds like it shows in the teaser movie? Is there a program that pairs with IMDB or something like that? How can i get them to show from an externally shared drive?  Any help or info or links is appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Hank

In standard def sure. dry.gif

i'm not sure what u mean by that

XBMC runs great in HD on the linux/windows/osx builds I've used.

also SD 4:3 users should upgrade; these skins are best viewed in HD resolutions and are optimised for them

Never, ever, I will --- by my own will --- move out of my SD 4:3 resolution. HD resolutions (LCDs and Plasma) are  --- for my taste --- simple the worst thing in the world for RETRO GAMING. You get totally dependent of FILTER usage and this brings THE DAMN HELL smoothness and BLUR of the traditional 'old good PIXELATED screen. I will keep --- until all my CRTs get dead --- running my Xbox1 in 480i with component cables.

My opinion.
Don't want to be rude to anyone.

Cheers!

Hehe, I run the emulators in 720p and don't turn any of the filters on, what results in glorious 1cm x 1cm perfectly sharp pixels on my tv! It makes retro gaming even more retro!! I hate using the filters to blur or smooth the graphics of emulated games, pixellation is glorious.

Ya but if you actually try to run any video it chugs and drops frames.

I ran mine at 720p and no video chugged at all.  Played them all from network.  No if you play 720p or 1080 video then it will fall apart but standard xvid and dvd isos are fine, just run the interface at 720p

agreed, mine runs @ 720p and never had any problems with xvid movies, its just MKVs and any other media @720p or over will kill the box!!

apologies i shouldve been more specific! sad.gif

As in, will it show the synopsis/plot whilst scrolling through movies, ie. not having to press a button to get the details to show.

The more i watch the trailer the more i want!!! haha
