Re-using X-box Hard Drive In A Pc

I have just remove an 80Gb HDD from the XBOX to fit a 120Gb. When I try to use to 80Gb in my pc and use autodetect drives in the bios- the bios locks up.
Anyone got any ideas?     (the drive isn't locked as far as I know)

sounds like the hard-drive is still locked
put it back in the xbox to unlock it then try again
