Xtv Skin Beta Released

Things I would love to see in xTV  (apologies if any of these have been added, I haven't upgraded my skin in a while):

* A clock on the main screen.
* A shutdown/poweroff button on the main menu (accessible by hitting right on the remote- lessens your chances of accidentally hitting power off when scrolling up and down in the main menu)
* A record button when in fullscreen mode so radio stations streams can be recorded.

Note that the logo on the home screen is not what we will be using but it is close. It is there as a place holder.

We haven't gotten to the OSD yet, but it will be there.

Did you select "Extract Here" or "Extract to xTV"?

Ok here is a little mod for xTV this is basically the way i have it as i use Library Mode and BBC Iplayer.

1. fixed the media overlay positions all of them.
2. Added in BBC iPlayer Button ( I use Library mode so this takes you to plugins via video mode so the names are correct ) You need to name the BBc iplayer folder BBC iPlayer for this button to work correctly.
3. Fixed the white theme OSD text colour.
4. 2 New icons BBC iPlayer and swapped some round.
5. that's it lol short but sweet the skin was pretty much finished any how.

Hi guys,

* How can I edit xTV to show apple movie trailers link on the main menu?

* How can I remove the "Music Plugins" source from MyMusic? (everytime I remove it, it just comes back again).

Thanks.

@Rocky5,

How do you use this mod pack? Here's what I did:

* Downloaded, extracted "xTV"
* ftp'd to xbmc\skins\

(overwrite all? - YES)

Presumably that's how you get this mod installed?

It's probably the incorrect way of doing it, because I get a rather glitchy result.

I get no entry for BBC iPlayer on the main menu, and stranger things happen when I click "My Movies",
the iplayer logo wizzes up to the top-right of the screen.

Well, first things first, this method dosen't put a BBC iPlayer entry in the main menu, so how do I install it?

thanks

ps- here's an alternative iplayer logo which I quickly mocked up, if anybody wants it.

Anyone see this?

http://www.eurogamer...-on-wii-and-ps3

Youtube have implemented a PS3 and Wii-centric layout for viewing YouTube on those consoles.

The above is an article on how set it up (on your PC).

The layout is similar to the YouTube script for xbmc, but with a few improvements.

I have a question similar to the one you answered just above...
I also want a link for the movie trailers in the main menu, but I'd like to use Apple Movie Trailer II.

With Apple Movie Trailers I got it working with:
<onclick>XBMC.RunScript(Q:\scripts\Apple Movie Trailers\default.py)

Why can't I get Apple Movie Trailers II working?
<onclick>XBMC.RunPlugin(Q:\plugins\video\Apple Movie Trailers II\default.py)</onclick>
edit: aah you were the one asking the question  biggrin.gif

Ok cool, but what do I do with these lines of code? Presumably they reside in an xml file, which one?
home.xml  ?

Is it enough just to add those lines tho? ('on click'.. etc) surely, there xTV needs to actually make an entry for those items on the main menu (from what i can gather, that code just tells xTV to run a script when the item is clicked).  But how do you go about adding that item in the first place?

Thanks if you can help.

Here you go.

I have included a folder for using the Apple Movie Trailers Script and I have included a folder for using the Apple Movie Trailers II video plugin.
