This sort of thing usually means there's a problem in the way you're installing the new builds. You need to delete the old one first (if you wish to install to the same location), and you can't be running it while you attempt to do it (or not all the files will be wiped out).

The quick check is to just try installing to a different location to the old build.

Re-download it, and do a fresh install.


FYI, I use XBMC as my dash. I FTP into my XBOX with flash FXP and delete the XBMC folder on my E drive. Then I install the new builds to E and after you re-boot you have the newest XBMC as a dash and yes somethings get left behind but you can just over wright them. I never have any problems.

just an FYI , this isn't technically the final release .. if you go to the info screen it says beta 3 .. final is expected soon as their was some minor issues with some string files ..

I had the same problem a few nights ago with no text display on MC360 skin. I used Frostys to FTP the previous version and have not tried to update since. So if three users just on this post had problems, i dont think its only user related. Off topic, anyone having problems with the forum as i couldnt even get on yesterday and its been slow loading today?

I got the same problem,  update and put the mc360 skin and freezes

im going to make a fresh update but i think this is a problem of the skin

I performed a clean upgrade from Beta 1 to the final and overall it seems to be less stable than the beta I was running previously.  I've had audio lock up the box a couple of times after about 30 minutes of playback, and the overall navigation between menus just seems to be slower and clunkier than Beta 1.

I've just downloaded the rar file and it expanded fine. Try to download again or use another app to decompress.

Just to advise that I have downloaded Altantis final (T3CH XBMC 2008-11-13 8.10 PROPER:) and unpacked it and its working fine with MC360 skin now .

Thanks to the guys at T3CH for resolving the issue in the build. (Great work yet again)

Ive done a clean install except for the userdata folder. I got 2 kind of bugs and Ive tested both the Proper verison and the version before the proper one. I read about the mc360 skin issue but that is not my problem. my 2 problems are:

1. I cant enter some of my artists or albums folders anymore. If I search for an artist and try to enter his/hers album nothing happens. I havnt changed any info for the artist in the mp3 file. Ive tried to rescan the library and updated it. nothing helps.

2. If I run a script and exit the pmIII picture is just black.

First bug is new for me, the second have been there in all atlantis betas.

I wouldn't consider those "bugs". I have not noticed anything in the music section but I dont have problems with PMIII after running a script so that's another user error.


But then again I don't have any problems that others have
