I can't seem to get into my SMB shares though. It won't accept the password anymore. I will keep working on it, but anyone know something that i don't about what may have changed?

* XBoxMediaCenter.xml: All lockcodes (shares) must now be MD5 hashed!

I definitely prefer PM3, works much better for remote control uses.

Edit:  But I should mention I definitely appreciate all the hard work done on this.

Same here

I'm sure this one will eventually get better remote control support

This will be my first time upgrading since April 22/06.  I can't wait to test out this skin, and some of the new features of XBMC.   biggrin.gif

What does that mean exactly? I looked it up in the manual and I don't see it.

It works great in 720P 16:9 and 480P 16:9 for me.

I can't seem to get into my SMB shares though. It won't accept the password anymore. I will keep working on it, but anyone know something that i don't about what may have changed?

WAIT so it does work on widescreen? huh?

Bah, I already screwed mine up. I just added the skin to a three week or so old build, and I was looking around, got to something that mentioned default profile, it jumped back to PM3, now 360 black screens and locks up my box.

I hate being an idiot.

It was cool while it lasted, lol.

Time to clear E and T and reinstall.

I still don't understand this thing about xboxmediacenter.xml moving...and what ppl are saying about the shares...I might just start afresh and make the shares in xbmc. This file is on emule too, heres the hash for anybody looking:

96FB98357B9EA8E3AEA0CFE347FF2CB6

Paste that into ur search box and it should start downloading (or waiting to download. You know emule! wink.gif)

Edit: Had to remove ed2k link as it went to a dud site

I understand about making MD5 hashes. You can go here to do it: http://gdataonline.com/makehash.php

But, my issue is that it doesn't work when I replace the password in the xml file with the hashed version of it. Is there something else i need to change?

            <path>smb://xbox:[email protected]/video/</path>

Is that correct? What am I doing wrong?

well, I got to give credit that a ton of work must have went into this and they all did an awesome job.

But, I got it running and I just dont see myself using it. I like the existing mayhem skin way too much and why would you want your xbox to look like 360 screens anyway.

Pretty damn sweet but not for me...  it all looks too much like a toy where the mayhem screens have a much more mature look to them...

looks like it would be good if I had an old school tv....but with my big widescreen HDTV the fonts are so tiny you can barely read anything....is there a way to increase the font size ??? I looked but can't seem to see it LOL.

Awesome job though

Remote Control Users - Do Not Be Scared Off!!!

How to make it Remote Control Friendly & Access Scripts, Weather, Shutdown, etc:

1) Hook up a controller and press the "Start" button from the Media Blade
2) Click "Personal Settings"
3) Click "Advanced Options"
4) Click "Enable Mc360 Guide"
5) Press "Back" several times until you return to the Media Blade

You will now see an "Mc360 Guide" selection below "Movie Trailers".  Click on it (you can now use the Remote to access this feature) and select "Extras".

Now you see:
 File Explorer
 Weather
 Scripts
 MC360 Credits
 Shutdown Menu

Let me know if you have any trouble.  I am finding it very Remote Control friendly!

Great job on the skin.  I will be using it instead of PMIII.  I like how bright and colorful it is.  I've never really liked the Black & White feel of the PMIII skin.

My favortie moment was when I entered my xbox live tag into it and my gamer pic, gamerscore, and reputation was downloaded over the internet and now I can see my gamer card on my old xbox! I wasn't expecting to see that, I thought the gamer tag thing was only going to be used for xlink kai. I've been using unleash x as my main dashboard but this 360 skin/mod is so amazing I'm finally ready to switch! Amazing job!
