it works great!!!!!

the only thing that got me worried was the compiling part... i took over 30 minutes (i guess thats normal....) and there was no sign that it was running ok.... but then everything went perfect...

good job ChEeSyBoOfS and Yuyu!!!!

ps. could this batch be modified in some way so you can run it from the xbox (with the pc on, of course...) and after its done, it transfers itself to the xbmc folder on the xbox (except xboxmediacenter.xml, which you have to modify yourself...)
i mean ... that's like an automatic update, isn't it...  but then, of course, only for people who has the xdk and vs.net... oh well....

One thing I noticed it doesn't copy over is the Web folder other than that it's very neat...

Would you guys like the web folder copied over or no? I can add it, if people use it alot, I for one never use it so I guess that is why I left it out...

Thank You.

I will add to these lines in the script, stating that building the slution will take 10-40 minutes (depending on pc)

Yes, I do have some ideas for FTP automation, but I will expound on those when I get around to it, just give me some time to do it in a way that is easiest for all.. There is a way to batch FTP, I just need to think out how I want to do it smile.gif

I'm having the xbepatch.exe problem as well, how do I fix this. That seems to be the only thing that I'm having a problem with doing the build. When I put the build to the xbox, it seems to be ok, with the exception of  Kai does not seem to work. When I goto myprograms and then to Kai, I don't get any menus on the left side and it just mentions xbmc in the window and nothing works.
any suggestions? does this have anything to do with xbepatch not working?

You need Visual Studio .NET 7.1 (2003) also... If you have that installed and the XDK installed properly, this Batch will work.

There ISNT a link to it, or to the XDK.
Ok this is for all the slow people out there.

To use this you will need 2 programs, one that costs quite a nice chunk of change (VS.Net 2k3) and the second you only get if you are an official MS XBox Game developer (the XDK). There ARE other ways of gettings either, but there will not be LINKS or any info given here at these forums on how to get them. You're on your OWN.  So, before you post any more, Duh Im not getting this to work, Where can I get the XDK, VS.Net, etc. make sure you already HAVE them, as they are both not free and not freely available. I wish people would read more.

If anyone has any feature suggestions or scripts or anything they think should be added to the package, just let me know. I'm not really sure the script can get any better than it is now, but if there is some files or what not that shoul be in there that alot of users use (such as the web folder mentioned above) I'll hook it up :)
If it is a pertinent request, I'll put it in the next update!!

Hope to hear some feedback from you....
