Can't Play Wmv Files

I'm having some probs with wmv files (i've only tried ver9 wmv).

When I click on the file, the screen goes black and then the xbox hangs, forcing a hard reboot. mad.gif

Does the mplayer have the required dll's for ver9 wmv's?

On XBMPlayer I put in the dll's into the dll folder, but not sure where they would go in XBMC.

Any help would be great,
