Does anyone know why this version does not work? Every time i open a compatible file format i get this error.

Very simple: you need Xbox ADPCM codec.

What is this program used for? Is it just for extracting Audio? I read the 2.0 update from 07 but didn't really get a grasp of what it was.

That codec is automatically installed with 2.0 version.

This program allows you the rip sounds from Xbox, Xbox360 and PC games. You can also inject audio into you games.
