If you have an X3 (and I guess any other xecuter chip) you could just boot it in config live mode (hold down the white button).  This will run an ftp server so you can set everything up from your pc again.

Or if you have boXplorer or XBMC or something installed on E or F or whatever you could set one of these up as a quicklaunch application (from within config live again) quicklaunch to it and reinstall stuff on the C drive from the xbox.

I know nothing about other modchips but I gues some/most must have some kind of similar capability.

With a Xenium chip, you'd have access to ftp directly from the xenium-os menu.  I've been running v2.3.0 for a while now so I don't remember if the older versions support ftp, but ftp access should help you out.
