Is My Chip Fried?

Did you happen to put the chip in backwards?  I once was a newb and i installed my first xenium backwards. It got very hot and always stayed red after that.  Just a guess.

it is possible to fry the chip if you put it in wrong way round. ensure correct orientation before plugging the chip onto the adapter. wot colour is the eject led when all this is going on
