Hey guys,

Sorry if this topic is in the wrong section, but I need help.

I recently had to ship my XBOX to Microsoft because it broke. My saved data was saved on the hard drive, but my gamertag was saved on the MU. Obviously, this means I have to recover the gamertag.

Well, when I log into my Windows ID, everything is fine. The password and username are correct. Yet, when I type in the same to recover the GT, it says "This Windows Live ID is associated with a different gamertag. Enter another Windows Live ID and password".

I'm confused on what do to. Because like I said, when I use the same e-mail/password on the internet it works fine. Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks a bunch.
