What Is The "night Mode" Of The Hd-dvd Player?
« on: May 16, 2007, 08:30:00 AM »

I know this may not be the right board to be asking this, but I feel 100% noob and stupid to be asking this, since I coudn't find an answer on google or wikipedia or places like that.

So, what is it? What does it do? Is it good? Bad? Does it bite?

Thanks!

I don't have it so I may be wrong, but I think it's supposed to flatten the sound from what I've read (volume leveling). If that is the case I wish they would add it to regular video and DVD playback cause I could definately use that (live in an apartment with very thin walls, love horror, and usually stay up till 2am, not a very good combo, lol).

Again I may be wrong, but I think I read that it levels the volume somewhere yesterday or the day before.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

It is just basically an equalizer setting and it can be turned on or off from the dashboard.  Most noticably it removes much of the bass, so that at night you dont disturb your neighbors.
