the only thing i miss is a option to inverse the y-axis |
....and ingame music.
it would give the game a better starwars feeling imo..
but nevertheless,it's a very cool homebrew :-)
This game is really quite kool, I'm impressed with your work, though I do have a few complaints.
1. This one is minor, but the sound efx are weak. They are too soft, and not starwarsy enough.\
2. The analogs seriously need swapped. On EVERY FPS game I have on the XBOX, I look with my right analog, not my left, this is just hard to say the least, its like playing a FPS on a Dreamcast or N64.
3. As stated above, there really is no sence of speed.
Other than that, an awsome first game! THankx!

Hmm, guess it sucks when you use shitty tv speakers or something. They boom on my 5.1 . Shizno thinks they are loud and annoying.

What's the purpose of single player? Is there anything to do but blow up the tie fighters/bombers? can you do anything with the death star?
My biggest gripe with this game is the lack of any kind of sense of speed. The X-wing seems to be crawling. |
you have to kill 10 enemy ships on Normal to advance to the death star/trench

| This could be a pain in the ass, but while I was playing, I was really aching for a 3rd person view, or maybe some sort of artificial horizon jobby. I would constantly get lost as to which direction I was facing... |
There is a 3rd person view, you need to press the white button

good news, apparently v1.1 supports inverted y axis
I agree, this game is awesome. It's great developers like this that keep my hopes alive for the hobby.

Is anyone else able to gget to the Death Star trench run?

In multiplayer, did anybody have a problem that they couldn't move anywhere? I was playing by myself with all bots... |

This game is one of the sweetest homebrew games I have played. I still can't make it past the first part but it's still fun. |
lol - thats the only thing I'd criticise about this game:
there's not much point beating the first level just because there's nothing much after it. one 30 second level is a bit rubbish and lets the game down.
other than that its the dog's pretzels
This is one hell of a game!
I love the fact that it has Custom Soundtack support.
Keep up the good work guys and good luck on the new Smash Bros. game!!!
I agree with V-O-I-D...
there is a massive lack of levels.
C'mon Shizno - I say we have download packs with new levels and objectives!

Give the man a break, have you been to his web page!? He is working on like 7 games right now. He'll get to Star Wars when he has time to.
The game was never meant to be very long, atm I'm having a problem developing because my TV is fucked...but once all this shit is dealt with i'll be back and ready to kick some homebrew ass
PS: I just played and beat the SEGA Star Wars game, if I were to make Star Wars 2 I'm pretty sure Id just copy that game
i know this is the wrong topic, and has probably already been stated before,
but you discontinued that smash bros clone didn't you?
just checking, as i haven't been keeping up much with the homebrew scene.

no, all my games are on hold atm until i can sort some shit out with my current setup (my lounge tv died, so my 'dev room' has no tv atm)....i code in short bursts when bored so its a hastle to have to go into another room to debug every 5 mins etc....HOPEFULLY my shit will be fixed soon tho
im not really in too big of a hurry....as soon as it stresses me out (star wars) i have no fun and simply dont want to work on it anymore...basically MadNessX will be the next release 93% definately...then whatever happens happens...i will be releasing a fighting game (wether it resembles super smash bros or street fighter ex more is still in the air) and a FPS (Untamed Rillas shit)
i will probably just release my Tokyo Wars source code and let someone else finish that
