ScummVM 1.3.0git for Xbox1
Posted by XanTium | March 26 14:43 EST | News Category: Xbox

A600 released a port of ScummVM 1.3.0git for Xbox1.
ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. ScummVM supports many adventure games, including LucasArts SCUMM games, many of Sierra's AGI and SCI games and many more.

From the Xbox port readme:
Quote

This is a ScummVM port for the Xbox1, possible thanks to the hard work of the ScummVM team and the SDLx libs by Lantus.

It features all the engines except Broken Sword 2.5, and supports MP3, Vorbis, Flac and FluidSynth (the MT32 emu isn't included because the Xbox lacks the power to handle it). All HQ scalers should work and the Monkey Island 1 and 2 fan patch is also included.

The file xbox.patch is the diff patch against the latest SVN (r44744 - http://svn.github.com/scummvm/scummvm)

Download: n/a (built with XDK)

Yay, thanks A600 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I won't have time to try it in the near future, but I grabbed it anyway!

Fantastic work!  Although it doesn't look like it's adjustable, I have no overscan issues with this version (unlike Scummvm 0.11.0svn).

Thanks so much for this - some of these games really are pure works of art.

Edit: just plugged a USB mouse into port 2 and it works perfectly - so much easier than using the controller.

I'm so happy with this that I feel like I could... like I could... like I could... take on the world!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Thanks for this, it works great but 1 major problem is stopping me from playing games, the screen is cut off on both sides so some text and some graphics are off screen which makes a a lot of the games unplayable.
Does anyone know if there is anyway to resize the screen ?
(also i am using a PAL XBOX on a PAL TV but i still have the same problems if i run it as NTSC on my XBOX)

Have you tried looking at the .ini somewhere in e:/udata?
The last version, by carcharius if I remember correctly, had these scaling values per game in the scumm.ini.
Something like x=80% and y=100% worked fine for me.

Is the Game path locked to D ?

I have all my roms/games on the F drive, which ScummVM 0.11.0svn could use.

I tried changing the path in the scummvm.ini, but does not work for me.

well this version keeps the INI in the same folder as you put scummvm (so for me its F:\games\scummvm) and it doesn't have scaling values as far as i can see in the INI, here is the contents of my INI file

I'm downloading the new version right now, so I can't tell if this works, but the last version of Scummvm for xbox generated this:

[tentacle]
description=Day Of The Tentacle (English (US))
enable_gs=false
language=en
multi_midi=false
music_driver=fluidsynth
music_volume=99
native_mt32=false
path=F:\emus\SCUMMVMX\DOTT\
sfx_volume=165
speech_mute=false
speech_volume=165
subtitles=true
xbox_screen_offsetx=40
xbox_screen_offsety=0
xbox_screen_stretchx=-80
xbox_screen_stretchy=0

Maybe adding the 4 screen values to your ini might work... if it is supported at all.
