in the spectrum emulator certain keys (Q A O P dont know if others) doesnot work in any device i asign to. for example i configure to the first controller those keys on the DPAD (Q to UP, A to Down, etc) but later in game it doesnot work. i try to press those keys on virtual keyboard and doesnt work neither

Sorry, I haven't used DidntxSpectrum in years (I much prefer FuseX, which I'd recommend you to try), but it sounds like the joypad might already be configured to use those keys (for the Kempston joystick emulation, or something), so try looking through those options.

Good luck, and consider trying FuseX, as it really is excellent.

thanks for your answer.

i already tried fusex, i have both emulators installed. Recently installed didnt xspectrum and im working trying to configure it.

is true that the emulator is configured to use the DPAD as KEMPSTON, but that is not the problem. I have a USB keyboard and doesn´t work with this keys (Q A O P SPACE), and i try to press those keys on the virtual keyboard and doesn´t work neither.

thanks anyway

What he is saying is that if in the games setup screen you have it set to "Kempston joystick emulation" the emulator core "internally" remaps those keys to the joystick.

You need to change that setting and turn it off.  "Kempston Joystick - disabled".

Now with all the 'new life' blown into the emulators; any change that scummvm will be updated (even if it isnt 'Xport')? as far as I know the original author left the project some time ago, but screenresizing and soft-reset would be a very welcome addition to it i think. The last version was a very nice update, but because of these 'problems' mentioned, i dont use it. Shame really..
