I am the creator of this set you don't have permission at all to use my work or host it anywhere these links need to be removed now. My work is only hosted at Hyperspin.

Sorry, I didn't know
I got them off of a tracker and they didn't come with any info, they were just bundled with some PC emulators. I think that the Xtra's project went in another direction though, and didn't use these box arts collections because they wanted more complete sets. I will ask RX to be sure though...

Hey, I can't edit the original post. You will have to PM a mod and tell him the situation and see if he will take it down. As far as where I got them, I want to say it was from searching on TSE and it came up, it was bundled with emulators and roms if that helps?

who gave "you" permission to use the original images...?
who were all the people who originally scanned those image...?
who gave those people the permission to scan those images...?
did they ask there mommy before using the scanner that day...?
You should take it up with the Nintendo, Atari, Sega, Etc, corporations...
They released these images... did you get their permission...?
I totally understand where you are coming from (initially)...
but, people need to take a step back sometimes and realize what we are all doing here...

Hey, first I would like to say, that I have no problem with you guys using my art outside of HyperSpin. I made it, I'm glad it gets used. I am just (I think reasonably) asking for 2 things.
1) Attribution, which was added in the second post, thank you.
2) "License" respect.
Your argument about not "owning" is invalid, as no, I do not own the original art that Nintendo made, but I do have the right to use it under Fair Use, and I DO own the derived works under a CCL with attribution license.
Here's the things: all of this art is hosted, and freely available at our website http://hyperspin-fe.com. We just ask that you come download it there, and then use it for your purposes. This is for a couple of reasons. First it ensures that we get attribution, second we like to keep track of downloads to know how "popular" our stuff is. It's nice to know that my 3D NES boxes have over 1000 original downloads (I'd like to know how many from trackers/megaupload) because it makes me feel like I made a valuable contribution that people want- and it makes me want to contribute more. Finally, the art is just a small piece of a greater project, which is HyperSpin- and we like to show it off, maybe get some new users, and maybe get some donations to go towards site hosting fees.
So I'm aware that I can't force you to remove the links to "my" work, I'm just asking that you replace them with the links to the hyperspin downloads section- or at the very least add a link to the hyperspin website. And even though megaupload "has" the files- if the links are removed the files will die.

Little rash I wasn't the one making wise cracks. I asked that it be removed. I also reported this issue to Mega upload and they will have the links turned off. I see this matter is almost closed and I thank you ahead of time to honor our requests.
