did you delete the old zsnexbox gamesave before you installed the new version.
i think the top gear rom is one of the roms that zsnexbox has a problem with,i could be wrong though.
did you try changing the region in the zsnexbox options?
-
Yep, Top Gear 3000 is unfortunately one of the non-working games on Zsnexbox
-
Ah. Oky. So I need the v1.2 of Zsnesxbox to make this to work, huh? Also, can I have more than 1 Zsnesxbox installed on my Xbox or must I delete the old one and replace it with v1.2? Also, that one you linked me to, Retroplay, says v2.99b1.. is that correct?
I'll try these things out and see what happens..
-
thats fine to have both emu's just make sure you name it different, grab the emu from xbins

You're everywhere, man!

Yeah. I've got the emulator and I've transferred it to my Xbox already. It works running the 1.2, but is it correct that I am supposed to see only this when I start the emulator:
http://www.elgen.net/zsnesxbox.jpg
I cannot browse or anything. And when I hit "A" on my controller, the sound disappears and everything just stops. What am I doing wrong? I've got both 3.5 and 1.2 transferred to my Xbox.. "Zsnesxbox1.2" and Zsnesxbox3.5" are their folder names.
EDIT: Also, I guess that transferring my .zst savestate from the PC Zsnes-folder to the saves folder in the Zsnesxbox1.2 and 3.5 will not give me the possibility to load the savegame for that game, even if the name's the same as the ROM-file, yes?

Interesting..... an earlier version works on this game....
It's one of only 3 games that do not work on either ZSNESXBox or SNES9XBox. This would be useful information if somebody were to like this game enough to make a .cut file of it in XBMC someday....
Which version? Let me know.... PM me preferably, cause I'll probalby forget to check this thread.

Well, I'd like to test the game, but unfortunately, my v1.2 Zsnesxbox doesn't seem to work.. at all. Look the above mentioned picture.. I don't see the games list, the buttons aren't placed alongside the texture and I cannot even browse through folders..
So, what's wrong? How come that it doesn't show any games nor anything..? But when I locate the old 2.97 folder in E: on my Xbox, I see that there's a Path.ini-file. Should I perhaps make a Path.ini file into all the other Zsnesxbox-folders as well? Into the root of Zsnesxbox1.2-folder and Zsnesxbox3.5 folder, that is. Will that fix the problem, perhaps, huh?
Also.. Where should I place the emulators? To F/Apps/Emulators/ or E/Apps/Emulators/ ..? I've got the 2.97-folder placed in both path's.. Hmm..

Yeah, it was before Zsnexbox got a rewamped GUI.
Top Gear 3000 works because v1.2 is based on newer ZSNES sources with Seta DSP-4 support.
I can't remember the reason why older sources was used in newer Zsnexbox builds.
I think Nes said that the older sources were overall more stable.

You are fuuunnny!
That is absolutely amazing if that is true.
It's tragically hilarious
-
That is why it is so funny, I just had to take that game out of a datfile (one of the very few bad) I feel bad for nes, like his brainchild was bastardized and then he didn't get to fulfill his actual dream.
-
Andrew Roy, that was pure poetry, I am going to quote your reply in my signature for its dramatic power!
Goodiegood, If Nes cant play it, ,well... sorry, I guess you cant either.

Hmm... Just came to think about something.. TG3000 works, but the graphics and picture itself is all messed up and sorty epileptic dilemma or something.. I am now awaiting Mega Man's answer to see what I will need in order to play the TG3000 with Zsnesxbox 3.5...
Nothing's going to do it. It's a core issue. The source for 3.0 is out there though if you got any coding skills.
I don't think it's running at the right speed either.
-
I'm sorry but it does not play well on 3.5 like i said. If that is all you want to do, stick to 1.2. Maybe you downloaded a bad copy. try to download it again.

Well, it was said a couple of times in the release thread for Zsnesxbox that version 1.2 lets one play TG3000 goodiegood, so I guess they're telling the truth..
I downloaded my copy from Xbins.. but it's in 3 .rar-parts.. I just have to extract part1 and transfer the 1.2 folder to my Xbox, yes? Should I place the emulator to the emulator folder on E: or F: ? Maybe both?
I'm trying really hard to remember why it would be in 3 parts.
-
Well, part2 and 3 contains only 'media' and 'previews' folders while part1 obviously contains all files.. So yeah, I don't know why there are 3 parts.. Perhaps I should give the download another go try to transfer the emulator to my Xbox again, huh..?

Try downloading 1.1 too. 1.0 should work too. I don't remember which version allowed for screen resize however.

ZsnexBox 1.3 - 3.5 use a core that is more stable for 99% of all games. ZSNES seems to break all the games people actually play with each new release. I got tired of that and went to a core that was stable.
TG3000 works in 1.0 - 1.2 only.
The reason it is not working in 1.2 is because you don't have the ROM in the roms folder. Otherwise, it would show up in the list and you could select it.
Yes, a save state will work if put in the save state folder, you start the game, and enter the load save state key combo described in the Readme.txt that comes with ZsnexBox 1.0 - 1.2.
ZsnexBox 1.2 is in 3 parts because I didn't have an xbins account then and had to email the emulator as an attachment. Hotmail used to only allow attachments less than 5MB.
You can have as many emulators on you XBOX as you want. They just go in a separate folder for each one.
Now that I've answered all the questions, ask yourself if you even want to play TG3000 given this information:
There is no enemy AI. The other cars don't try to win. They all just stay in a single line on the right side of the track. You could win every race with your eyes closed. This is because the emulation of this game in ZSNES is not accurate.

All I can say is Wow!
-
Yep. Been playing that game for years. Wanted to play it again. I eventually got it to work, thanks to NES' help. Now, it's just a minor problem; when I drive, the screen occasionally flashes to green for a 0.1 second.. Any idea how I remove this green, flashing thingy? It happens with both the US and J ROM of TG3000...
