I'm finally working on my PSX collection and I seem to have a major problem that there may or may not be a fix for. Anyone who regularly visits the PSX compatibility thread knows that there are probably 1 Billion different configurations you could have for any one game to get it to work. Now here's my problem.
Say I wanted to play a game which required me to use "HLE" mode. Great... I select the game, use HLE mode and the game works without a hitch. Now my problem comes when I want to play another game that uses "Bios" mode. I have to manually change the settings to "Bios" mode from "HLE" mode because the emulator starts automatically in "HLE" mode since that is the last configuration I had for the emulator. This even happens if I've played this game before in "Bios" mode. No matter which settings I use for any one game, they are all used on the next game I select, regardless of whether I've played it before or not.
I know that nearly every emulator that I've used saves the individual settings you use for each and every game seperately so this doesn't happen. I'm wondering if this happens to everyone else with PCSXBox, or if maybe I somehow screwed up the emu and I should just get another copy of the emulator and see if that will fix the problem.
If ever there was an emulator that should save game configurations individually, it would be PCSXBox. Not knocking the emu at all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I think it's great that it pretty much plays all the Squaresoft games perfectly.

im 99% sure that my emulator saves the settings for each individual game... I'm not sure why yours would be different... are you running v. 18?

Hey competes2win. Yeah... I figured that it did save the settings. In fact, I thought I remembered it saving states when I used it a long time ago, but it's not doing it now. Yes, I am using v18 as well. I think I'm going to try to reacquire it and start over. Thanks for the reply.

Nevermind....
This problem only happens when I'm switching over from one new game to another new game. The second new game will use HLE if I was using HLE in the previous game. Once a game is played and exited though, it is saved with those settings and will always start up with the last used settings for the game.
