I'm running Pcsxbox_v18 (not sure if that v18 is valid). Anyway I have tried 5 games, that are 100% compatible, they all run except I see nothing, just a gray screen. I can hear the games working in the background and if I pause the emulator (press down right stick) I can then see the game in the small screen paused. I've tried changing some of the visual display options but with no luck. My other emulators run fine and I can see them. Is this a problem with the settinga in Pcsxbox or something else?

when you ran the games, did you download configurations? You can do that in the menu that pops up the first time you run a game, or press x when selecting the game

The first time no I didn't. I just tried to do this for Chrono Trigger, still no luck. When you access the download configuration I noticed there's allsorts there. I just choose the one equivalent to my game correct? In this case I had chronotrigger.bin so I scrolled down to that exact configuration, could there be other configurations for this game?

This is what I see when running any psx game, I can hear the game running and I go through the menu options I just can't see anything


If I pause the game/emulator. I can see the screen.


I'll go try downloading configurations for some of the other games, but I'm still stuck on this :/

Ok I've downloaded and tried a variety of configs via xport's, still no go. I've tried using all 3 versions of the default.xbe (14+16). I tested the pc emulator to check the games, they work fine. What the hell am I over-looking

Old as the hills, but I keep anything unresolved bookmarked till it is. I finally resolved this today, sort of.

I now have the games working, having tried both pcsxbox_v19 and _v20.

These worked out the box for me, so I can't establish what my exact issue was, however I can pull up some of my bookmarks that may help others.

1. Get the v_20...

2. Then delete v_18 and all of the saves in the E:\Saves directory

3. FTP the v_20

4. Let us know what happens then.

Erhm, thanks guys but I did state that I had now got it working. Was just updating the thread because I hate leaving threads inconclusive if anyone esle should stumble upon it, so your extra info helps. Yes, I did that as well many times.

Just to verify, yes I have it working
