I have changed all my path entries to reflect E:\Emulators\SNES\*** but when i try to select a gme i get sent to different paths all the time. Also, i can't get favorites to work. I've added a folder E:\Emulators\SNES\favorites and changed the favories.ini to show this as well but i get no rom list. Help anyone?

What emulator are you using?

Make sure all the paths actually exist on your Xbox. If you have set the sram path to be:
E:\\games\SNES\sram\
then make sure there is a "sram" folder there.

There is no need to edit the favorites.ini or create any folders. To add games to the favorites list, select the game in the rom browser (in ZsnexBox). Then press the white button. Likewise, to remove a game from the favorites browser, select it in the favorites browser and press the white button.

yes all the folders are there i just get annoyed sometimes when i try to select a game and it puts me to the root folder of my E: drive. using zsnexbox
i have all the file paths in the ini file i keep getting defaulted to my E: drive when i try to select a rom though

I don't understand what that means.

whenever i try to choose a rom from my list, when i choose "select a rom" the path is not to E:\Emulators\SNES\roms like i have set in the ini file
-
did you put another \ dash at the end of roms?
like this E:\Emulators\SNES\roms\

When you navigate "up" a directory from D:\roms, there is no way to know what paths are above it. That's why it goes to the root level. i.e
C:\
E:\
F:\
X:\
Y:\
Z:\
However, from here on out the hiearchy is built at every move. I'm not sure if this is what you mean. If you specified E:\SNES\roms\ as your roms path, and there is a folder on the E partition called "SNES" with a subfolder called "roms" and there are games in this folder with a valid extension (zip, smc, etc...), then they will show up when you pick "Select Game" in the GUI. If you navigate up from this folder, it should take you to E:\SNES\ not the root of E:\
If you are sure all these criteria have been met, can you post your path.ini?

From the ROM list or the favorites list? The favorites list makes no effort to verify the paths are correct. So if you move/delete/etc.. your roms after adding them to the favorites list, the emu will crash if you try to load it. I also hope you didn't create your favorites list by hand because it would be very easy to make a mistake and cause this behavior.
Your roms must also be valid and in the correct format (not 7z or rar)

no it only crashes from the rom list and no i used the white button

Ah, now I know what's wrong. You are running out of memory. Most likely caused if you are using the HQ Box art pack floating around. This gets even more complicated if you are running in HD as that takes more memory. Delete these screenshots or resize your screenshots to no bigger than 515x512 (but 256x256 is better) and that will solve your problem
