:uhh:
My problem I have recieved a Motherboard from a friend who parted out his xbox and I have a HD 120 GB with Evox already installed. I do not have the original HD the motherboard came with. I want to Flash the TSOP bios how do I go about doing this because everytime I boot up the box it goes to the Error Screen and says well you all know what the error screen says because it won't accept the HD with evox installed. Could someone help me or tell me how they would approach flashing the TSOP on this project. Thanks. :o

We Need More info
The 120gb HD you have - has it already been locked by
somone using a different machine?
If so you need to unlock it in the machine it originally came from.

Mod the Xbox using an LPC mod, Matrix or whatever
Equip the Xbox with an UNLOCKED hard drive
(if you already have a drive set up with EvolutionX, etc, you can use this, but UNLOCK IT FIRST in the Xbox it currently lives in, using ConfigMagic)
Switch on
Format and set up the hard drive using an EvolutionX disc (unless you're using one that's already set up), I believe the Slayer's disc lets you install the M$ Dash, which is pretty much all you need for now
Lock the drive using ConfigMagic
Switch off
Remove the mod
Switch on, should boot to M$ Dash OK, no errors
Switch off
Do the TSOP jumpers
Switch on, use your favourite 007:AUF hack to flash the TSOP
If the drive has to go back to another machine, unlock it using ConfigMagic
REMEMBER, a drive can only be unlocked by the Xbox used to lock it!
(unless you already have the unlock password and are using DOS tools to do it, etc., etc.)

Thanks for the help guys. I will try what you said and see if it works but let me get this straight I have to have a modchip of some sort to load up the Hard drive so I can unlock and lock it with the ( xbox i'm trying to mod)?????As far the as the Hard Drive goes that I have it was locked on another machine (the one that evox was installed on)

If it's locked you have to unlock it in order for it to be booted from a different xbox. Then you can lock it again if you want to use the MS dash in the new xbox.
