I have been playing around with the mednafen rumble feature a little bit, and I think I found a bug.
I was messing with the Contra rumble codes from the emulation repository trying to set it up for player 2.
The rumble location for player one shooting is: 300000CE 0000
It was easy enough to find the player 2 version at: 300000CF 0000
Now the problem I have is that when I configure the player 2 code to rumble the player 2 controller, it also rumbles the player 1 controller.
Can anyone else confirm this? Or am I making a stupid mistake?

hello,
as you certainly know, i have worked on creating rumble codes for zsnexbox (differents rumbles for aproximatively 60 games)
2 solutions for you re problem:-the rumble code for player 1 is also mapped on the controller 2
-2nd solution(i think it s you re case): you re rumble code is based on the appear/disappear sprite of the bullet, so it will rumble everytime a bullet appear/disappear, and the bullet sprite is the same for player 1 and 2

I don't think eiter of those will solve my issue.
The first code activates the rumble only when player 1 fires, and the second code activates only when player 2 fires. The problem isn't that controller 2 is rumbling when player 1 fires, but that both controllers rumble when player 2 fires. I have definitely set the rumble code to act on controller 2. In fact if I set the code to rumble controller 3, it still rumbles controller 1.
I also made a code the other day to rumble (controller 1) when your life decreases in Metroid. I tried setting this to shake controller 2 instead, and it also makes both controllers rumble.
Does anyone know how I could contact xport?
