Title: Cant Tsop Flash With V1.3 Hynix Tsop
Post by: lenny6998 on August 12, 2003, 11:34:00 PM
i soldered all the correct points but whenever i try to flash i get this error
raincoat Flasher  0.3  Feb 26 2003  [email protected]  http://xbox-linux.sf.ne
Reading /etc/raincoat.conf... 12 flash types read

UNKNOWN DEVICE manf=0xAD, dev=0xB0
Try adding the device ID to /etc/raincoat.conf

I updated the config file to the latest i could find (v1.5) and still same error. If someone could help that woudl be awesome, thanks.

I use the version 0.5 of Raincoat

Xbox 1.3
Hynix - HY29F002TT

Does this TSOP need a 256 K or a 1024 K bios?

Thanks! The fast response was appreciated, but I had a box open in front of me and was depserate, so I recompiled .5+ on my linux box..

Nice to see that they finally load the raincoat.conf from the local dir.

FYI. It was a version 1.3, we got it to flash with the standard points of a 1.2, top and bottom of the board.....

cp /media/E/UDATA/4541000d/000000000000/raincoat/raincoat.conf /etc/raincoat.conf

this should do the trick i think, instead of recompiling

Not in 007:AUF Linux, it won't.  /etc is read-only.

I can confirm these HY29F002T flashes are in 31xxx Xboxes in Christchurch, New Zealand and they flash faster than any other chip ive seen ;)

BTW you 007auf hackers you can fix the RO filesystem problem with the following shell commands:
cp -Rp /tmp/etc /tmp/etc-
rm /tmp/etc
mv /tmp/etc- /tmp/etc

happy hacking
