Ok I just got back and fix the first code to mario kart - now when you get coins or get hit n loose coins the controller will rumble smile.gif
Just make a .txt file n paste this into it the name it (rom name).rmb

i know i posted this on the other thread but I think it better to have a seperate thread for these finds.
will be work more on this so when you slide it rumbles.. i think i found the code .. but not what i expected. Will try n fix that
if you thing the rumble its too much .. just change it to your liking

Address: bcf (enter 000BCF00 in one of the cheat search slots and map this rumble to it)
Rumble on: Decrease
Motor One Strength: 255

And the REALLY cool one:

Address: FFFE (enter 00FFFE00 in one of the cheat search slots and map this rumble to it)

So what does that second one do? Well it provides the perfect level of feedback for Jumping, Landing, shooting as well as all the environmental feedback. For example, on the first stage when those flying robot things start ripping chunks out of the ground, you feel a rumble everytime their claw digs through the ground.

Even better, when you get to the those Big Blue Bumblebee helicopter things on the first stage, your controller vibrates the whole time. Just like as if it was beeing rattled from the constant vibrations of a helicopter.



Earthworm Jim

Enter this into one of the cheat search slots: 00081100
Then create a rumble and set it to rumble on value increase.

Rumble on: Increase
Motor One Strength: 255
Motor One Time: 0.2
Motor Two Strength: 255
Motor Two Time: 0.2

This one code will cause force feedback to happen whenever you:

Shoot the machine gun
Land from a tall jump
Hit your head on something when you jump
Take damage
Collect powerups
Use the helicopter spin

Here's a really good one:

Mario Kart

Cheat Code: 00101B00
Rumble on Increase

This is a general rumble for the Kart when driving. It's not too strong at those settings and works really well with the rumble when picking up coins Glitch posted above which was:

Of course I ramped up the burp & fart rumble to epic proportions  jester.gif   The mario all stars is very very odd to work with.  I had no problems whatsoever with the NES versions, so I dunno what's up with this one (probably the 4 games in one).

jester.gif  jester.gif  jester.gif LMAO!!!  I was assuming Mario RPG would be a pain knowing it was an RPG.  So I started as normal, and searched for the jump rumble.  Pretty quickly I got 3 results.  The first one worked out right away.  Ok, great start I assumed and got into a battle to find the attack and get hit rumbles.  Lo and behold I realized I had stumbled upon the Master rumble for the entire game!!!  Jumps, attacks, menu confirmations, getting attacked, opening doors, bridges/land falling, almost all character interaction/movement, you name it, it's there.  Granted I've only played it for 10 mins, but so far it looks to be the only rumble you'll need, all from my first attempt lol!

The second rumble code is similar to Nes6502's Mega Man X code that he posted previously. You can notice it's effect right at the beginning when you meet the dragon. You'll feel every step he takes. And when he destroys the castle's wall, you'll be feeling it too. Rumble also occurs each time you flap your wings. And when you jump and land.

Speaking of not getting a constant rumble (for driving on gravel and similar circumstances), nes can you think of a way to get a round this?  The closest I've come is by making a long rumble time, which isn't always accurate.  Maybe is there a way you can force a pulse, by making an option for it?

another thing, this also rumbles when colliding with other cars.. only thing it doesnt do its rumble after landing from a jump like nes (losing energy code).. i have one that does it, but its not as stable as this one
so if you want that rumble after, just set mine to increase

also, i think most of us are finding codes for player 1.. just incase some says its not working on player 2

The code posted above for gravel rumble is also the addres for starting a jump so you can get a rumble for going up the ramp and one for landing from the jump by using the other energy code.

As far as a solution for gravel (and other situations), I have one. I just need to implement it but it will provide rumble as soon as the car goes onto the gravel and stop the instant they leave the gravel (no matter how long or short this time is). It will be in the next beta.


I will try to make another release tonight with this new feature, but it may be tommorow.

you quoted me after i fixed the misspelled word .. lol .. i try messing with that code.. its pretty hard to keep it stable.. i also have an idea to fix that..  .. but i'll wait for the beta.. hehe ..

will you be adding a button for the cheat list to delete all of the "Enter Code Description Here" .. i think it was requested ..

Yeah, it only supports 27 characters for the description. Definatly don't add a desciption that goes on the next line because that would throw the rumble reading code off.

Are you saying you entered a cheat code of 00008900, mapped it to a rumble address, and the address says 0x137? It should say 0x89

Oh, I see. Yes, that's correct.

The number is in hexadecimal and 89 in hex is the same thing as 137 in base 10. I write them to the file in decimal but I display them in hex.

89 (read from the file) in base 10 equals 59 (displayed on the screen) in hex so that was also correct. That rumble should have worked as is without having to change it unless it had an incorrect address.

This brings up a GOOD point. When posting rumbles only post the cheat code used to make the rumble. And people need to enter the cheat code in and map it to the rumble. If you copy the number displayed, and manually add this to the rumble file where the address is in notepad, then that will be incorrect. The number stored in the rmb files are all converted to decimal whereas what's displayed on the rumble config is the hexadecimal version. That's why it has the "0x" in front of the number.

this is kinda like meganman x code by nes, where almost everything makes a rumble .. when shooting regular or charge(not while charging a weapon sad.gif ).. on the intro, when bosses die,enemies shoot you(cannon based).. etc.. try it out

On this one the shoting/charging works.. also rumbles on bike intro,on the electric floor(when you start game) when bosses dies...etc ... also, it rumbles when there are items to pick up, so lets say on wire sponge stage.. theres an energy tank container on the begining of the stage on the left side, you have to wall jump... it will stay rumbling till you pick it up.. or are have a distance between it(same goes for enemies)

found one for contra, but trying to figure out best setting..same rumbles as above

Hmm, guess I'll have to repost what I've found since if someone uses what I said won't work?  I just realized this too, but I don't think we really need to post the rumble lengths/strengths as for the most part, I always set it to 255 strength, and .10 length.  Seems to be perfect for most situations, and really only the rumble length might need to be adjusted in some situations.  Considering we now have a VERY sizeable amount, I'll combine everything we have into rmb files, and up it as one pack to XER.  From there nes can pack it with new releases if he chooses (I'm all for it).  I think my next challenge will be FF3; don't know if its very doable or not (I tried and tried FF1 for nes but got nowhere with it).

I included a Super Punchout rumble file with the release. Make sure it matches the name of your ROM and it will just work. It rumbles when you get hit.

A code for what? Losing energy, hitting enemies, jumping, using magic, etc...?

You can have rumble for just about anthing. You just have to find a cheat code (using the cheat search built into ZsnexBox) to find the address of the value that changes for the action you want rumble for.

I think he posted the rumble file itself. That number is in decimal I think. You will need to convert it to hex to make the cheat code first. Then link the rumble to that new cheat code.

The cheat code should be 001D0B00

because  7435 = 0x1D0B (you can do this conversion on the windows calculator in scientific mode) in hexadecimal.

This is what those values mean:

1     =  Set it to On
7435 = The address made from the cheat code I posted above.

0  = Rumble on Change
Master Rumble = Description
252 = Left Motor Stength
255 = Right motor strength
0.080000 = Left motor speed
0.190000 = right motor speed
0
0
0
0

It looks like this will cause rumbles for all types of things. Some rumbles will only work for one thing (like losing energy), but then there are some that work for lots of things (like losing energy, jumping,  and using a special weapon).

I've been busy the last few weeks (moving, didn't have internet for awhile, etc) but I'm back to normal now.  I'll take what's been posted so far, and make a small pack of them (nes's, glitch's and mine).  I'll make sure to post the right info here too (didn't know I was posting the wrong info).

So the round starts over, but don't you start with 5 lives? Once these 5 are gone it's game over right? So you should be able to do the search on this "number of lives" counter decreasing since it likely decreases when you get blown up (i.e. lose a life). I havn't played bomberman in a while. Is this not how it works? Or is there no "number of lives counter" and you get infinite lives?

after searching a lot during this week, here is the results:
21 of the greatests snes games will rumble now!
including: super mario all stars ;contra 3 ;ff6 ;battletoads in battlemaniacs,
zelda 3; and super punch out (more complete);r type 3,joe and mac 2 for the 2 players)

i m becomming a rumble codes searcher master lol
simply copy paste the .rmb files into the zsnesbox rumble folder,
then, rename exactly the same name as your roms
ex if your contra 3 rom is named contra 3 (u) !.zip
rename it Contra 3 (US).zip
most of my rumbles codes are based on the score,energy or items; because,
 most of the case, the score increase when you are doing an important
action (kill ennemy, take items etc...)
then it rumble exactly when it is needed. enjoy!

well, as i said before, super bomberman 5 multiplayer. Rumble when each player gets blown up, that would be awesome!!  tongue.gif

Well good luck to anyone on finding that. I spent at least an hour playing single player Super Bomberman trying to find the rumble when being blown up. I never could find it.

I did find a rumble for planting bombs and a separate one for when a bomb blows up, but I never found one that will only rumble when the bomb blows up and it kills you.

thank you guys for the help. will try your code, but probably it is a little bit too strong if it rumbles every time when a bomb blows up...lol

I was wondering,  would it be difficult to make the rumble codes load according to CRC?  Iwas thinking it might be a better standard since naming conventions can vary wideky.  For instance I like to name my roms slightly different from the normal convention (removing country flags etc) and it would be nice if I could use the rumble codes without changing the filename.

Also... Could you create a rumble file for Goof Troop? I love that game... co-op games are the best.  biggrin.gif

sure, my rumble code for zelda 3 is awesome
it rumble when link take rubis, take bombs, launch arrows, loose life, rumble also when ennemy is hit, try it
also you could activate or desactivate the rumble you don t want
