Title: V1.1 Sharp Solder Points
Post by: AFNinja on July 10, 2003, 08:19:00 AM
O.K.  I have a V1.1 with a sharp and have been looking for about three hours trying to find out where this third jumper is.  I have found plenty of pics that show the first two, but have yet to find any to show me the third.  This is my first sharp and I'm a little confused.  Yes I have done about fifty searches now and still haven't found what I need.  If anyone can help I would be in your debt.

Remeber to flash sharp tsop you have cannot have all the all 3 points soldered to boot your xbox the first time when doing the 007 hack. It doesnt tell you that one the tutorial.

If you have done this already you will know what I mean

what it means is solder the bottom 2 jumpers

then use a wire to solder the 3rd
boot the xbox with the top one not joined

then join it.. flash it and unjoij it

depending on the bios u flash with u dopnt nmeed to have the top one unjoined when u boot the xbox

If you have all 3 soldered then the xbox will not boot up right.
And also when you say after the bios is flashed disconnect the top one or the wire?

yes

It's been a while since I've done a sharp tsop but I do remember doing some soldering with the box on.

Ok so I went to flash the sharp tsop and it wouldn't boot (no video output and no dvd eject).  So then i read this thread and unjoined the top.  IT BOOTED!  So I successfully flashed it with raincoat and the Auf hack (just like i've done on all other xboxes).  It said it was fine and the flash was successful.  But then i goto boot again and i get the christmas lights of death.  So I unjoin the top.  Same thing.  So i take off the wire on the bottom... same thing.

What should i do?  Should i unjoin the bottom jumper also?  Its a friends xbox and I need to know how to fix this?  I know the bios was good on raincoat cuz i've used it many times before.

What bottom jumper did you solder. It's been a while since I've done a 1.1 sharp but I'm almost positive I only connected the 2 points on the bottom with the wire. If you joined an extra 2 points other than the wire remove that bridge. I also left the wire on the bottom connected, though I doubt removing it would cause you problems.
