Title: Mameox128 Plus! Help

I hear this is the best version of MAME for the XBOX even if you haven't upgraded your RAM to 128MB.  I have a version 1.6 XBOX and as far as I know I am unable to upgrade the ram on this version, so my question is, does MAMEox128 Plus! even work on a 1.6 XBOX?  I've tried burning it onto a DVD and running it directly from my hard drive and both methods freeze at the, "loading... MAMEoX Plus!" screen.

Try unplugging the controller in port 2.

The current version doesn't work on v1.6 consoles.

Does it not?  Well, there is a new version coming soon, hopefully it will work on 1.6's.

OK Alpine, would you mind leaving feedback as far as how you've gotten this to work on your 1.6?  Do you run it from disc or have you installed it on your hard drive?  As I stated before, I've tried both methods and neither worked for me.

Do you have a softmodded xbox? This would explain the mixed results.

It's because of the led color changing code. I've removed the code in next build.

How did you get 128plus to work on the 1.6. When loading it keeps kicking back to the evo-x dashboard.

Any insight?

delete your save data in e:\tdata\4d414d46 or it won't work.

Thanks foxfella. I do not have that folder. THe xobox is hardmodded and I deleted the mamedox from the MS dashboard and the cfg file. Any other suggestions?
