Yeah I think waiting for the 360 is much more likely. I've sort of gotten the impression that they've tried to improve surreal but found they couldn't really make it much better and even if they did they'd break other games that were already working. As surreal xxx has done.
I think it's possible to improve it but I'm getting the impression any improvement would be rather minor without actually rewritting large sections of code, and since it's just a port of already exsisting emulators I don't think anyone is about to undertake such a big project with the 360 so near now.

A one eyed begger from Agrabah told me that everytime someone asks about Surreal 2.0, odd delays the release by a month. But this is most likely just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.

I would LOVE to say that the xbox 360 is going to be a safe haven for emulation purposes, just like the original was but i doubt it. You have to look at it from a buisness perspective. The original xbox was just a toned down pc (without all the os-processing nonsense). Now, potentially, this can be good because it makes people buy xbox's to play their old school games and homebrew BUT, most of the people who have the cognitive ability to harness this ALSO know how to pirate xbox games (and have the means to do it) which these exploits make VERY very easy to do. I know i dont but, i also know, there are many that do. ALLLLL im saying is, i would be surprised if we enjoyed the same prosperity in the 360 scene as we have at the xbox scene. Micro$oft DAMN WELL knows about this and is, for sure, trying as hard as they can to try and prevent this sort of thing from happening on the next generation of Micro$oft gaming consoles. I KNOW it will be cracked eventually but i doubt the determination will be as high just because it won't be as easy (criticize as you wil, that's just the way the world works...). Needless to say, i am STILL very excited about the 360 scene...hopefully i am wrong.

Yes it will be cracked and im betting they will be just as lazy about prevention methods as they were with this gen (same hash, left the lpc alone through 5 versions bla bla) I think they just assume it costs more to deter us than to just take a small loss. The loss gains great momentum at the end of the consoles life (more people catch on) but by that time theyve already sold what they wanted to. Nothing that hasnt been said before. Just felt like typing

Ok, dude. You're talking about a United States video game hardware producing company here that has an amount of money the size of jerusalem. Aka, Micro$oft is unlimited...they dont HAVE a budget on piracy prevention (they just made a poor choice on a first choice in a video gaming operating system). Come on man. Are you kidding me? It's micro$oft...you know how many people have been sent away by those guy's by piracy...i cant believe you've under-estimated the dark-side...they have legions upon legions in place to catch assholes like us...deal with it and dont deny the truth...just be careful...

Thanks for the advice, but as soon as someone uses the famous "dark side" comment, I stop reading completely. I wish you could go read what bunny, Troed, Numbnut, and the rest of the crew on silicone ice's forums said about the subject. Besides being the people that made it possible to have a hacked bios, they were also the first to acknowledge this, as I said, its all been said before (4years ago). I guess your just smarter than the rest of us. P.S. Look out for the black helicopters.

what could surreal 64 v2 add that surreall 64-xxx hasnt? I mean other than adding rice drivers ,bug fixes, and such, what else is there to do with N64 emulation on xbox?
