I recently changed from MAMEoX to MAMEDox with the "patch" so the compatability of fba-xxx pro and mamedox could be the same (since i have neo geo games in the same folder)
Now, I loaded up the romcenter data for fbaxxx pro and they all seem to work except for one that I'm missing a rom in. All cps1 and cps 2 games work amazingly in fbaxxx pro.
Now when I go to MAMEDoX, ( i wanted to play gauntet) It said I was missing most of the roms in the set, which was odd to me (even though I was running .89 romset).
So I pickedup the latest romcenter .dat file for MamedoX and loaded it up made sure the files were working (some were incorect ofcourse), checking that the gauntlet game was accepted by MAMEDoX. I re-ftp'd that zip rom to my dir. Cleared out the settings dir in the TDATA (meaning I deleted the respective mamedox "system" folder) and reset everything up. It saw the gauntlet version I put up there, but when I loaded it , it again said it was missing all the roms and the game could not be run.
This has happened with ALL the neo geo games and cps2/1 games. Its not a bios issue it seems to not see any of my roms even though it shows it in the zip file.
I am quite perplexed as to the reason behind this, I'd love to use this emu but the more I mess around with it, it seems to give me nothing but unwanted headaches.
If anyone could shed some light on the situtation at hand, I'd be in debtted to you.
