I had a look at the 1964 SourceForge page - if it's really supposed to be published under the GNU General Public License, then I don't see how they can get away with not releasing the source to the latest 1964 version a year after releasing the executable.
Or am I simply misinformed? I hope so, as I too would like to see the 0.99 source at long last.

i know the greatness of nes ... i love nes , i found it very artistic (the sprites and the use of colors)...

Yes what they are doing is against the the GPL and against Sourceforge's terms of use. But we can't do anything, unfortunately. We just have to wait.

To me Surreal64 is the emu of the year on the xbox the fact that I can play zelda at all is a miracle nevermind complete it inside an emulator on an xbox when the rom is the same size as 1/2 the xbox memory. The hours I've spent playing mario party and S&P are a testament to the original emu's and the porters.
What do you really think is going to be that different with surreal 2.0? N64 emulation has not come on that much iin the last year. Rice's 5.6.0 will be nice certainly (At last an almost perfect pilotwings) but that's going to be about it. The sources for 1964 .99 beta haven't been released so the coore won't be any faster (Passed a few optimisation oDD might be able to perform (Although performance is not the big issue in surreal64 it's the GFX plugin).
If you don't like the state of N64 emulation in the xbox scene then don't bother it's never going to be perfect 100% the xbox doesn't have the power and the emulators don't exist anyway. (that are perfect).
Something to bear in mind is the general consensus in the N64 emulation scene is a software gfx plugin is the only way to emulate everything and that would be too slow for todays fastest PC's so where does that leave the xbox.

Spent too long in this country and not enough time abroad but I spent a year in germany in 2001 and I loved it, so chilled out in comparison to the miserable english. I spent 3 months in maastritch (I know my spelling pretty atrocious) as well and I've never been any where I was made to feel welcome as in maastritch.
Vampx we english have a good sense of humour but we have no time for our fellow man. (Possibly why we've made such good comedy's but you should check out our regular TV it's painful. 10+ million people watching bad soaps it's embarrassing.

Surreal V2, fantastic!! I know we've been looking forward to this. A guy before mentioned Conkers, but I'd just wait for the XBOX remake. It's a big shame and of course nasty GPL violation that the source code to the lastest version hasn't been released, and I guess that will mean not as many improvements for V2, but for me this is the only XBOX emu release I'm interested in.... and oDD, your work is greatly appreciated !!!

Yeah. I live in Texas and we have a LOT of Spanish channels from Mexico. They definitely have a certain.... "style" to their shows. Especially the game shows. I know a little spanish from high school but not enough to figure out what the fuck is going on in those mexican game shows.
A typical Mexican game show would go as follows:
A quesion will be asked and the person doesn't answer in time and the host looks right at the camera, wide-eyed, saying "UH-OH!" and then a bunch of rubber chickens fall on the contestant and then some guy off to the side --for no explicable reason-- falls into a tank of water and then confetti starts to fall and a mariachi band comes out starts playing La Cucaracha.
But I've always wanted to see Europe. England especially. I'm even thinking about joining the US airforce so I can see it.

Some Screenies would be cool, but I love the full suprise of first starting the emulator up and just being amazed in the new GUI and when I start up conker and not having graphical glitches will make me just love this emu even more.

IMHO, no screenshots or updates are needed.. just a "h" every now and then to let us know it's still in dev, or to blow off steam would be fine with me!!

Well personaly i cant wait but at the same time i can , dont ask how that works.
Well i been playing with v1 here & there u know but im starting 2 get bored of all this emulation thing. Guys its christmas get off your asses turn off the tv & spend some time with ur family. If oDD can make a christmas release it would be great if not well bad luck we waited this long im sure we can wait alil longer.

Sadly i'm no longer into emulation anymore. I play xboyadvance now and again only because new games still come out for it. But since the release of the DS, GBA releases have been slow. And the games that do come out are not worth the download. I really hope v2 spikes my interest into emulation again.

there is a fix made by freakdave which allows you to change the sensitivity settings on Surreal. It requires tweaking and must be changed in notepad or unleashx.

Rice Video 5.9.9
- Near plane clipping. New implementation on top of software vertex clipper is able to simulate N64's near plane clipping algorithm on DirectX. It allows graphics before the near clipping plane to be shown without being clipped. It should work for all the games, but I tested it with Zelda OOT and GoldenEye. This new feature makes many games looks better (less graphics glitches)
- New ucodes supported for new games, even though some such games are not actually supported by the CPU core or audio plugin.
Does this mean Surreal 64 will be delayed once again?

Depends. Lantus did most of the work on Rice's plugin, and he hasnt really played with it in a long time. oDD works on it solo now. Its all about how hard it is to implement it on the xbox.
Secondly, rice didnt release the source. We'll see if he does in the near future.
