Are images required in this? If so, I'll put some up later, but here's a few titles:
Umihara Kawase (SNES) and Umihara Kawase Shun (PSX) - Both awesome platformers, working around a basic gimmick, a sort of pocket fisherman device you swing about the level with. Nice learning curve, really rewarding when you get the hang of it.
Mario's Picross (GB), plus various sequels for different Nintendo systems - Picross is sort of a number-based crossword puzzle, which you use to draw a picture. It's logic based, and a great way to kill time. Also look for Logic Pro 1 & 2 in MAME.
Avenging Spirit (Arcade & GB) - Platformer in which you play a ghost who needs to possess the various enemies in the game to progress, including amazons, dragons, ninjas, and other ridiculousness. Likely inspiration to Gheist for NGC, coming soon. |
I opened this topic, and immediately thought Umihara Kawase.
I've been waiting for a PSX ISO, but the SNES rom is amazing. The gameplay can get frantic in later levels. And how in the hell do you finish the stage with the giant goldfish? I always skipped it through other exits, but it still stumps me.
While it isn't very uncommon, I also enjoyed Mischief Makers. It isn't very enjoyable in Surreal, but nonetheless.
And, I-Ninja is a fun Xbox title. Even though I have 60+ Xbox games, I very rarely play any of them beyond Halo. I-Ninja was relatively easy, but it's one of the few Xbox titles that managed to keep my attention till 100% completion.
shenmue is one of my favs too.
anyway i didnt finish the second one though

dr mario best puzzle-multiplayer ever.

and i think this thing doesnt need introduction...
when i thought every new game was boring...this one made me see the light.
anyway...for those who doesnt know it..
its the big-fabulous-absurd-bizarre-FUN-gba-FUN
Wario Ware inc for Gameboy Advance.
and with it...

youre gonna be speachless after playing this one.
off topic, but why do you keep getting banned... and why do you keep using the same sig????
oh well... anyways... rise of the dragon for sega cd was a good one
For some odd reason I loved Rolling Thunder as a kid, and still find it fun these days.
Box art: http://www.mobygames...36/gameId,7373/
And some game screens: http://www.mobygames...ts/gameId,7373/
Another game that pops into mind is Coil Cop for the Commodore 64. The intro music alone was awesome enough to get me to load up this game while I played something else on mute.
Even more awesome, the site I just found to link to, has some of the music from the game in .sid format (playable in winamp with a plugin, I believe.)

Pin-Bot, probably one of the best pinball video games I've played. Though, I am going to have to try the new Sonic Spinball game... er, I mean Super MarioBall
http://www.mobygames...22/gameId,8689/
...And any Super Mario Bros. hacks that actually change the levels, especially ones that make them extraordinarily hard.

Secret of monkey island was good too (But not as good as other versions)
Rise of the dragon was best on a pc in glorious 256 colours with a mt32 (I still have my MT32 it's a full size isa card remember how big they were)

Because they touch themselves at night
I don't know really, some other countries have much worse age restrictions, like Germany for example, or Russia, even Ireland.
LA!
Some good games (without pictures, sorry) are:
Bio Hazard Battle - Megadrive, one of the best shooting games on any platform, very cool design and music.
Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors - GBA, a contender for best DBZ fighting game, even over hyper dimension (that's a maybe), very close to the actual show.
Space Gun - Arcade, a complete rip off of Aliens, but who cares? It's a helluva good lightgun game.
Gundam Wing Endless Duel - SNES, this is one of my favourite fighting games ever, and I've played millions.
And More...
I.Q. (PSX)
Final Fantasy VII (PSX)
NiGHTS Christmas Sampler (Saturn)
Resident Evil: Code Veronica (DC)
Devil May Cry (PS2)
Viewtiful Joe (GC)
Ninja Gaiden (XBox)
