Title: Surreal V2 Theme/menu Music

Check out that link and click on the song "Aquario"

Lantus and oDD: I'm not sure if this is a bit too late, but here's a little tune I thought might add a little more "N64-ish-ness" to Surreal v2 smile.gif

If it's not what you guys were looking for, it's still a neat little remix to help hype the release of this excellent emulator  beerchug.gif

Enjoy!

PS I used an excellent little program called "Madtracker 2" to work on this tune.  If you're interested in PC music, check out www.madtracker.org

I wouldn't mind listening to that while deciding what N64 game to play...infact, i think its safe to say i'd like very much to listen to that while deciding what N64 game to play biggrin.gif If they don't add it to the emu though, how hard would it be to make it so it plays while on Surreal? smile.gif

I do not like this music much at all, as in i would not listen to it in the car.

However, it is really fitting for surreal menu's...... i love it

Thanks guys smile.gif  I appreciate the positive feedback.   Hopefully it's not too late to be implemented.

I was thinking about some menu music for Xport's MameOX update, but I don't think he's really overhauling anything besides VM and perhaps lightgun support.

However, I think some arcade ambience would be awesome for the main menu of MameOX, ie, the nostalgic murmer of about a baker's dozen of arcade games, and perhaps the clinkety clank of quarter machines and pinballs.  Just an idea.

Background music is annoying as hell, one of the first things I do on all Xport emus is delete all the sounds and BGM as they get on my nerves after a while.

the song would make good bgm

but just as 0123456 said, i delete all the sounds and bgm as well. it just gets annoying.

play mvc2 for any amount of time, and see what the term annoying bgm REALLY means.

mainly i ment the bgm in the character selection

"gonna take you for a ride"

over, and over, and over, and over, and over.

it will drive anyone insane.

yeah i havent played it on xbox much at all *always prefered my arcade sticks on the dc*

I'd love to see something like this in the emu (assuming it would have an option to turn it off for all those that would not like it).

If any of you are in the mood for some more great mixes, check out:

Overclocked Remix
VGMix

I myself prefer ocremix, but vgmix has its share of tunes as well.  I highly recommend anything by an artist named "kLuTz".

What's a "ltj bukem style mix"?

And how could you call a classic N64 tune "cheesy"?  Haha smile.gif

smile.gif excellent choice), not just the first part like the original version i heard. I'll seriosuly considering adding to Surreal, as I dont usually like background music, but this is a worthy of bg music.

Thanks for your effort..

Wow artynerd.. I heard the first version of you song and it was great, but this version is 1000x times better as it has the entire song from the underwater level in mario 64 (one of my favourite game tunes of all time by the way smile.gif excellent choice), not just the first part like the original version i heard. I'll seriosuly considering adding to Surreal, as I dont usually like background music, but this is a worthy of bg music.

Wow, awesome smile.gif   Thanks for the compliments.  I appreciate everyone else's feedback, too.

I'm just doing a *small* part to contribute to the better of the Xbox emulation scene.  You've done more than your fare share, oDD.  Thank you.

you made a breakbeat song...very drum&bass-esque...

ltj bukem its the most important drum&bass DJ.
