Sorry dude, the Xbox is no where near powerful enough to run Saturn games. There isn't even a good PC emulator out for it yet. GiriGiri works ok, but you need a 3Gig+ setup.

are you insane?
the xbox is EASILY capable of emulating a saturn... this is strictly an issue of software, not hardware.
Yeah the xbox let along the pc should be able to handle saturn games. I don't see whats the difficulty on developing a saturn emulator, there probably isn't enough interest.
It's a too complex architecture I reckon.
1 - not enough knowledge about the saturn
2 - not enough interest
3 - difficult internal architecture to figure out
But hey who cares, atleast we have like 200 Nes emu's for PC alone
I'd be willing to bet within the year it is on xbox

3 Years ago i said the same thing..
(well about having a good saturn emu that is)
someday.......someday
That saturn emu is really being ported to dc http://ljsdcdev.sunsite.dk/ , if it's even remotely usable on dc than it would work much faster on xbox, that is if it's compatible with any games, I don't know because I've never used or read anything about the pc version.
im just waiting for the xbox 2 emulator on xbox in my 84th birthday.
I doubt that Saturn emulator will ever run at a decent speed on the Dreamcast. There were very few dev houses that could really get both the Saturn CPUs to sing in harmony (Saturn, Treasure, and Capcom are a few that come to mind) but those are pretty big power-houses. The little guys are kind of left out in the cold, as there's not many good docs out there.
In short, don't hold your breath (for DC or Xbox). Nobody would rather see this than me, but I've given up all hope.

I hate to burst your bubble man but all the linux version of Yabause can do is show a bios screen. They havent even started trying to get games working. I have no clue at all why people would port a useless emulator to dreamcast
everything has to start somewhere. Just the fact that it boots the bios screen (and .0.0.6 can boot the splash animation) is a proof of concept. Don't knock it yet, its still a WIP.

Oh, yeah, my point was things can change in a very short amount of time. Everyone always acted like there would never be a dreamcast emulator that actually worked, and there never was. Then finally 4 months ago a couple devs got together and within 2-3months made a dreamcast emu that works almost perfectly in it's alpha version and plays retail games at full speed no less. People always say everything emulation wise will never happen, but sometimes things happen and some crazy devs prove everybody wrong.

| People are really, really negative about an xbox port of chankast but right now |
actually... on the official chankast forum, there is a roumour that version 0.3 works well on a 600mhz pc and has been optimized for it, i don't know the precise details because the site was in spanish

Memory could still be a problem though, but of course with cpu speed you have to take into account that when your running it on windows, you are also using the cpu for windows which wouldn't be a problem for an xbox port, also an xbox port could be optomized for the one single gpu and that could also bring a speed improvement. Ah who knows, give it some time, who knows if they'll even ever release the source code, they said they would, but you never know. It's definitely the emu I would look forward to the most for xbox and it definitely seems mostly possible since it runs so well on pc in it's very early stages. Wow, if it ever does happen, think of all the homebrew games and ports and stuff already written for dc It would make some new xbox ports unnecesary, it would have already made the beats of rage port unnnecesary, I've played the dc port and the xbox port and they are of course the exact same. That would make everything so much more interesting. Kinda funny to think of going to http://www.dcemulation.com to download games to play on my xbox.
my curiousity is running wild brotha!
You can't exactly judge an emulator by the result of trying a single game on it, there are tons of games that people could try out on surreal64 and say that they had horrible problems with even though there are loads of games that run perfectly.

i've not got radient silvergun running at full speed!
