Title: Rom Disc ?
Post by: Sopey Sope on June 26, 2004, 11:52:00 AM
Ok, so I searched and I searched and I searched some more and came up ith nothing.My question is: Is it possible to have a disc with just the roms on it in order to preserve hard drive space ? i.e. I would have all the emulators on the Xbox and run the actual rom from the disc (DVD/CDRW) instead of transfering over all the roms to the hard drive.
Could someone point me in the right direction ? ;)  ;)

i would say yes. but if your going to do that . you may aswell put the actual emulator on the disk to and run it all as one, but if you want to keep the emulator on HD and run the roms from disk you will need to change the rom path in the emulators ini file to D:\ROMS\

so that would be telling the emulator to find the roms on the disk inside a folder named roms. if you dont use a folder then its probably D:\

I did it fine with surreal, you just have to edit the ini.

I did not think about it, but i agree with the last post;

if you can put the emulator on the disc too. then you will not have to edit your ini everytime you switch between the two
