| For FCE Ultra, I have something like 11K files to go in the ROMs area. Can I put this many in there, or will that crash the emulator/xbox trying to keep track of that many files? If it's too much, can I split the ROMs directory into folders and get the emulator to recognize those files inside? |
Just sort your nes roms with GoodNes and use the Dirs option,
this will put all your roms in specific dirs (USA/JAP/HACKED/etc)
it makes for easier browsing and it overcomes any(ifthereareany)
problems the xbox would have with too many files.
and you just have Fce Ultra point to your rom dir, when you want to select your
game you'll then see the dirs and you can just browse all you want.
Ah cool. I tried a test where I placed a ROM in a folder called "test" in the ROM area, but although it saw the folder it would not browse into it. I suppose if they were named correctly FCEU would know what to do. If nothing else, I only want the USA files, so I can run Goodnes and ignore the others.
Do you know anything about the NeoGenesis ISO thing Vamp?
Thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
for the iso in the neogenesis are you talking about the sega cd thing
well im pretty sure that you have to make a .bin format out of it just like the playstation
get cdrwin

It's one jolly great ISO file (talking 2.6 GB or so) that has seemingly all the Genesis files in it. When I use the emulator and disc is in the DVD drive (with ISO on it), I can look through and load files. But if I put that ISO on the HDD, NeoGenesis just sees it as a file, not a directory anymore.
