Would you be interested in walking me through getting one of these up and running? I would like to get Dragon's Lair, Space Ace and Thayer's Quest going and would appreciate any info you can give me about it (I saw the links and was wondering what might be best). Shoot me a PM if you would be interested in helping out.
your best bet is to grab the 20th anniversary DVD-Video set from digital leisure and use dvd2daph to convert the files to daphne format. Then you need to transfer them to your xbox according to the docs included with daphnex. It's pretty straightforward. dvd2daph is a one-click utility.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, I got all the files "mpeg2, ogg and rom" set up correctly, but I'me having trouble getting my frame file to work correctly and to point to the right dirrection

You might want to look a couple weeks back in the forum, i made a thread about my own problems with Daphne and the framefile,
the answer might lie there, i cant help since i'm not close to my xbox at the time of this writing.
but that thread might help.

Any cheaper alternatives? It's a little bit on the expensive side and, as I understand it, DLII is not emulated, either; seems a bit of a waste of money. But, if I have to...
