I don't know if I would call this a bug, but I figured out something in PCSXBOX (v11 at least).
As some of you may know, most Playstation games displayed at 320x240 (or some low-res number). However, a few titles have 640x480 (roughly) menus, title screens, etc. If you have filters enabled, they will lock the game up when displaying the higher resolution. For example, I couldn't get Chrono Cross to load for the longest time, ie, it would lock up when I hit the start button at the title screen. The reason? The Squaresoft logo, intro movie, and title screen are all low-res. The screen where you select to continue or start a new game/enter your name are high-res. I had Advance Mame 2x set as the filter, but as soon as a turn it off and reloaded it, it worked fine. Also, I tried using filters in the game, which worked fine, but as soon as I tried accessing my menus (which are in high-res) the game locked up.
There's a bunch of games off the top of my head that didn't work in PCSXBOX (for me) that do work now, eg, Smackdown 2, Dino Crisis, Intelivision collection (yes, the menus are high-res), and probably a ton more.
I just thought I'd share that with people who might not know about it, since *I* didn't, and I was reading through all the PCSXBOX config posts on this board and *nobody* ever mentioned this.
Moral of the story? Turn filters off if you're having problems with PCSXBOX games.

ah hah, i knew it wasn't just me that was having problems getting chrono cross to load the menu screen... i re-ripped that game like 1000 times attempting to get it working right. i never actually figured out the problem, but i bypassed it by deleting the pcsxbox save file directory and starting over.
thanx for the tip, i never woulda guessed that was the problem ^_^
BTW, for your information, this "bug" affects every psxbox version after v4... perhaps that's when he introduced filters to the emulator.
