| I have the same problem with Mario Party 1,2,and 3 and Mario Tennis |
That I can't answer as these don't need the ini entry they work fine out of the box. Maybe bad roms or a bad copy of surreal64, make sure you goodn64 all your roms and download surreal64 from #xbins.
Mario party 2 & 3 run perfectly, not tried 1 and mario tennis is good to play but issues with the shadow. These issues have been addressed in Rice's updated plugin (Not the one used by Surreal64) but they will probably "Cane" the emulator and really slow it down (It does on the PC).
thanks very much, i didnt realise it would be so simple hmm i read through the whole surreal compatability list and this wasnt mentioned, a bit rediculous tbh.
thanks again :D

No worries, I think maybe Iriez should update the ini that comes with surreal64 (No need to trouble Lantus or oDD with something this trivial) so the Acclaim roms start up with the standard dist. (Would take about 5 minutes).
These all need Use Basic Audio=1 adding to the ini
Southpark
Turok series
A wrestling game I can't remember the name of (Still by Acclaim)
There are probably more.
heh, little problem. surreal keeps overwriting the .ini so it still doesnt work, i just changed the ini to read-only so im going to test it out now.
{edit} lol, this just isnt windows. Read only means nothing!

I heard other people had this problem it worked fine for me. If it's rewritting the ini it's probably with the one in the surreal64 directory try editing that one as well.
nope its still being overwritten, hmm, one must get to the bottom of this.
right, the edited ini is 112k, the original is 111k, i replaced the original in the surreal directory with my 112k version and that will stay.
but the one i put into the wierd dir, will always be overwriten with the 111k ini.
i noticed when i load the rom it says Saving Settings, and then turok loads this is obvously the problem :S but how to remove it?

PM me your email details as soon as I get home I'll email you my surreal.ini (It shouldn't make a difference).
Make sure you are defintely using surreal64 1.0 not the leak. Check the settings if you have a mupen audio plugin you have the leak if you have PJ64 rsp audio plugin then it's V1.0. Delete the directory
E/TDATA/a64fea57/
and surreal64 itself on my xbox it would be in
F/emulators/surreal64
then reinstall it (With surreal.ini edited in the surreal64 directory) and run it.
Try a different bios (pheonix bios loader)
I only use homebrew stuff I get off #xbins (Or the media player FTP if you use xbins you'll know), I'd redownload it to be safe.
It does work honestly I'm stumped why yours doesn't.
