Title: Replacing 2 Stock Hdds? Help

ok, i have an xbox that has a bad HDD, so i need to replace it with another stock xbox HDD that i have here, but when i do that i get a error code 6, the old one is a seagate, and the one i want to replace it with is a western digital, any help please, i've tried searching but the search is always down

You'll need to check out the tutorials on this site...MS in a feeble attempt to stop piracy made it so only one hard drive will work with one motherboard, which is refered to a "locked" hard drive...therefore, if you want to use a different one, you will need to unlock it with your pc, install it into the xbox, and then if necessary (if u want to play on live) lock the new one into the old motherboard. Its not an incredibly complicated process, but you'll need to follow the tutorials exactly and have a modded box...hope this helps :D
