Ok, I copied the .zst file to my desktop, renamed it to .000, then transfered it to my e:  tdata  0fffdaed folder, but when I start xsnes9x, select the rom, then goto the savestate screen it doesn't show up. Have I done something wrong?

I would be interested in what Lantus has to say on this, since he said that saves can be converted from a ZSNES format to SNES9X format.

From what I remember, I think that you can rename save states (not ingame saves) from their original ZSNES filename, to a suitable SNES9X filename, and it will work.  I found this little bit of info over at mac.emuscene.com:

"To use ZSNES save states simply rename a ZSNES save state to a fitting SNES9X name. Example: [rom name].zst would be renamed to [rom name].fr[z,2,3, etc.] moved to the freeze-state folder or the ROM folder and load like a normal SNES9X freeze state.

This allows access to many freeze states made in ZSNES. Zophar's Domain has a huge ZSNES freeze state archive, now available to Mac users with SNES9X 1.3.7. Finding credited to dc."

Hope this helps.

also, try this on for size....

the savestate name needs to be *exactly* the same filename as the rom your loading..ie

if you load 'supermariorpg.smc' as your rom

the savestate in E:TDATAFFFDAED needs to be 'supermariorpg.000'

if its not appearing in the savestate list, then its not named correctly. Please check into this

Yeah i noticed that too wink.gif

When i renamed SuperMarioWorld.smc to Super-Mario-World.smc
all savestates were gone - so i renamed it back.

Ok, I got it to work. I found I had to rename the rom, plus the savestate file in order for it to work. I couldn't get it to go any other way.
