i have a problem my stepmania resets everytime i try to view the songs. Would having 800 songs be the problem? or is it something else?
also, a song i downloaded called "sweet" dosnt work ever since i upgraded too version 3. It has its own backgrounds and stuff. There are no movie files

I can't get it to work either. But pump songs work in the DDR mode, it's just DDR steps for Pump songs.

I don't have the privilege of knowing Xport, but one thing is clear, the guy is a perfectionist. All the code he releases ooze quality. I check the boards everyday just to see what he has released/updated
. If a week goes by without a post from him I think something is wrong with him 
It can be a bit manic keeping up, but hey, I rather it that way than not have any updates. The pleasure his ports have given me is priceless. It would be a very sad day in my house if Xport ever got bored and stopped releasing ports.

i personally use v3 tho' i dont like the analogs changing the screensize, i was gonna get v2, then B4 i got round to it LoL, there was v3.
its currently running everything from what i had in v1, with no "bad songs" so to speak, i ran v1 but left the songs in and they used to crash the system upon highlighting them in the menu, v3 seems to be running all of them now, and all previews are working
just a little curious is edit courses ever gonna be usable, and ability to edit names and such ?
as for the people who chose pump and it always attempt to load pump, rather than smmax, go into the StepX folder and delete info.txt and log.txt, this will return it to original state.

hehe, got DDR mixes 1-8, Dancing Stage Euromix 1 & 2, Megamix and Party edition all sitting on my Xbox now
I had to rename quite a few of the tracks...but whatever you rename them to, it still comes up as they should in Stepmania.Grr all I need now is to buy a new PSX DDR Pad (Old one broke! Grr), and an adaptor, and I'll be dancin away

Use PreXboxCopyTool.
Its a pc tool so a quick check on google should find it for you.
