Oh, also, someone on IRC said to edit the registry and change it so windows xp accepts/sends clear text passwords (no encryption), but I tried that, and it didn't work... though I think that may be on the right track.

that policy doesn't exist in 2k.. however, I found just adding a new user with a blank pass works. also, it doesn't do subfolders, like computer/D/emulation/roms, you have to share the folder itself as a seperate share (i.e. /computer/genroms).
