I agree the dreamcast version is great, and it would be nice to have an xbox version as well...
source and binaries here:

I just play it under Linux...
There is a deb package after all.
Would save time though to just be able to play it straight from Evox.
-
I thought SarienX was the scummvm port to the XBox?
-
Right, I could deduce that. But I thought Sarien was a scummvm emulator?
-
Sarien is an open source, portable implementation of the Sierra On-Line Adventure Game Interpreter (AGI). Sarien is able to execute Sierra On-Line AGI games at different levels of playability. Leisure Suit Larry, King's Quest II and Mixed-Up Mother Gooose are some of the games that have been played from beginning to end with Sarien.

I think Monkey Island 1 is one of my favourite games ever.
-
Ya that was one of my favorite Amiga titles. Part 2 was even better!

Bad news about Zak McKracken
You have to have the FM Towns version to play it on ScummVM, and I have NEVER seen any FM Towns ISO on the net ever, and judging by what Bubble Bobble alone is going for on Ebay (FM Towns version that is), I would be willing to bet you don't wanna pay the price for Zak McKracken. If anyone has it though, please PM me by all means!
On the other hand you can still play it on the Amiga emulator.
-
Does it play Full Throttle, or just the earlier titles?
Full Throttle was a great game that would be perfect to play in preperation for the sequel coming sometime in the next when ever.
-
From what I read it plays Full Throttle with a few bugs if you want info try the website www.scummvm.com

Full Throttle runs great under ScummVM for Mac OS X here. Same for Sam & Max Hit the Road and DOTT. I'm dying for someone to port this! *turns on the Xport signal*

Like I said you could be playing it under Linux right now, requirels no Linux skills what so ever!
Just install Debain as is, then download the Scummvm.deb package to your root directory or wherever, and type:
dpkg - i scummvm.deb
I believe those are the commands I used, it will give you some errors during install, but if you right click on your desktop, it will be under the Games menu, or maybe after you refresh X it will.
Either way it was simple, and I suck at Linux for the most part. Another great thing about playing under Linux is you have instant Keyboard and Mouse support!
So how does Zak Run under it, what is new to the FM Towns version that was not in the Amiga version?
-
Debian also has full mouse emulation through the XBOX joypad, so either way.
A native port would be nice though, would save time loading Linux, I can say that much.
-
).
Anyway, I know lantus from classicx is doing a full sdl port (in fact, his limited one is what sarienX uses).. so when he releases it (hopefully soon) an sdl port of scummvm would be pretty trivial.. I would just have to code the input. So don't fret.. I think it's very close!

Curse Of Monkey Island, on Amiga!?!?
What?
-
curse of monkey island isnt on the amiga my bad
-
It uses the SDL lib, I'd figure it would take about 5 mintues to port, the reason I say that is because on the Dreamcast coder's have been able to port some stuff without any change to the source code except for where controller input is needed.
Then again, perhaps the XBOX is something totally different, but I'd figure not, it is after all PC guts, just a different executable.
-
What cracks me up is not alot of people run linux on their xbox...Give me the details on how to port it and I'll do it lol

it would indeed be possible to autostart it.. i've been running scummvm since the first versions of xbox linux.. but since i don't have much linux knowledge i can't help you, but autostarting a program at startup sounds very simple. c'mon anyone who's at least a bit better with linux than i am, tell us how to do it! but i'll still stick with my mouse actually, the controller mouse emulation is kinda dodgy.
