I think I can safely say no, being as the retail Xbox has 64MB, and the ROMs will be bigger than 64MB when unzipped.

You cannot play King of Fighters 2002 on Xbox, mainly because MAME-X will not run decrypted romsets, and you also have to consider that King of Fighters 2002 is about 90Mb unzipped, while MAME-X can only handle games that are about 53Mb unzipped.
